Welp you all, we made it through another 365 days. We made it! No matter what it looks like when you glance over your shoulder the fact of the matter is that YOU ARE STILL HERE!!!
I find myself being very retrospective these days. I guess we all get that way when we come up on the beginning of a new year. As I look back on all that transpired to get us to where we are today, tears well up in my eyes and gratitude and thanksgiving fills my heart. We didn't see the great big doors God was planning to open up to us back this time last year. However, we never doubted that He indeed have a specific plan for us and that no matter what He would bring it to pass. As I type on this keyboard I am overwhelmed with yawning because I was up well past 3 am laughing and talking to one of my childhood friends who on a layover back to the United States from Thailand took sometime to come hang out with Ville and I last night! How cool is that? Talk about hometown homies!!! It was great to see him and catch up with each other in person as opposed to social media. All we needed was some Halo Burger, and some Boston Coolers!!!
We were fortunate enough to spend our Christmas holiday in Dubai. G3 and I spent Christmas Day at LEGOland Dubai. He absolutely loved it. He rode rides, played with enough legos to make my head spin. He managed to get me to purchase a red Ferrari that he put together with no problem the day after we got home. He got tons of great gifts for Christmas. Some he was expecting and some he was not. Just being able to give him almost everything on his list meant the world to us. There was a time when we had to pick and choose what girts we could get. We did not have that worry this year. Our daughter was able to travel to visit family over Thanksgiving. That was something that we were able to help with as well.
God is at the center of all we do. He is the one who makes this all possible. We haven't and won't ever deny that fact. He knew we needed an answered prayer and He answered it. He will give you what you ask for. Sometimes it may not look exactly like you thought, but however it is presented you have to be willing to accept it, step out on faith and live the life He has prepared for you. But don't ask if you ain't ready. You gotta trust and believe that He has your best interest at heart and that He will never steer you wrong. Faith is the key! I don't know how else to explain it. If you are looking for something in this new year, ask for it, write it down, believe that it will come to pass, and then make ready to receive it. In that order.
Ville's new position has afforded us the opportunity to do a lot of travel. We are looking forward to our next adventure coming up the end of the month. We are excited to be able to see what this world has to offer. I am excited that I get to take a few of you along with us. God gave us this world to experience, not to sit by and be a spectator. But an active participant. Know that I love ya! Mean it!
